Frequently Asked Questions
Where is your Logan White Card training venue and how do I get there?
Our Logan venue is at 84 Wembley Road, Logan Central QLD 4114. It’s easy to reach whether you’re coming from Springwood, Browns Plains or Beenleigh, with parking nearby and public transport options into Logan Central. If you need directions or have any access questions, give our team a ring on 1300 029 132 and we’ll point you the right way.
What's nearby the Logan venue for breaks and lunch?
You’re well placed in Logan Central for a quick break. Hyperdome shopping centre and the surrounding cafes and food courts are just a short trip away, and there are plenty of takeaway and lunch spots around Logan Central itself. Most students grab a bite locally and are back well within the lunch break.
Which local employers and industries around Logan need a White Card?
Logan is a busy construction and trades hub, so White Cards are in constant demand here. Residential builders across Browns Plains and Beenleigh, civil and infrastructure contractors, warehousing and logistics fit-outs around Springwood, and the many subbies and labour-hire workers throughout the region all need CPCWHS1001 before stepping onto a site. It’s the standard entry ticket for construction work across Logan.
How does the Logan venue compare to your other nearby QLD locations?
If Logan Central isn’t the most convenient for you, we run the same $85 CPCWHS1001 course at several nearby venues. Check out Cannon Hill in Brisbane’s east, the Gold Coast venue at Southport, or Brisbane more broadly. Same course, same nationally recognised outcome – just pick whichever venue suits your travel.
Do you offer on-site or group White Card training for the Logan area?
Yes. If you’ve got a team of workers across Logan Central, Springwood, Browns Plains or Beenleigh, we can arrange group training to suit your business. It’s a great option for builders, labour-hire firms and contractors who need several people carded at once. Call 1300 029 132 to talk through group numbers and scheduling for your worksite.
What major projects are driving construction demand around Logan?
Logan sits right in one of South East Queensland’s fastest-growing corridors. Ongoing residential growth at Yarrabilba, Flagstone and Greater Flagstone, along with road and infrastructure upgrades through the region and broader SEQ activity ahead of the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games, are keeping construction demand strong. That means steady work for carded workers across the Logan area for years to come.
What are the White Card rules in Queensland?
In Queensland, anyone carrying out construction work must hold a White Card. This is governed by the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld) and administered by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WorkSafe QLD). Completing CPCWHS1001 with a registered RTO like WhiteCardPro satisfies that legal requirement, and your card is recognised right across Australia.
How long is my White Card valid and what's the 2-year lapse rule?
Your White Card doesn’t expire as long as you stay active in construction. However, if you don’t carry out any construction work for a continuous period of two years or more, your card lapses and you’ll need to complete the training again. As long as you’ve worked in construction within any two-year window, your card remains valid.
Can I get my Statement of Attainment the same day, and do I need a USI?
Yes – complete the course successfully and we’ll issue your Statement of Attainment the same day, so you can start work straight away. Before we can issue it, you’ll need a Unique Student Identifier (USI), which is free and takes just a few minutes to set up at usi.gov.au. Have it ready on the day to avoid any delays.
I just need the White Card - is this the right course?
Absolutely. CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry – is exactly what people mean when they say “the White Card”. It’s the single course you need to work on construction sites, it costs just $85, and your Statement of Attainment is recognised Australia-wide. Got questions before booking? Call us on 1300 029 132.
